Comedian Josh Blue will open the Celebration with a stand-up comedy performance. Headliner Josh Blue won the fourth season of NBC’s reality series Last Comic Standing. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and will be made available in Embassies and Consulates around the world via live-streaming.
24/40 Celebration
Two monumental milestones. One awesome celebration.
25 years ago, the Americans with Disabilities Act extended civil rights to millions of Americans. 40 years ago, the Kennedy Center’s VSA opened its doors to provide arts and education opportunities for all people with disabilities. These are indeed powerful reasons to celebrate. And so we shall!
This is the 25/40 Celebration. Join us in DC this July—the Kennedy Center and the Smithsonian are offering a one-of-a-kind, cross-campus celebration. We are filling our stages, theaters, and public spaces with outstanding, free events to honor a culture of creativity, expression, and American heritage.
