Description: This seminar is an advanced-level class which will present a methodical analysis of Chapter 11B of the California Building Code through case-studies of actual projects. This seminar will use pictures and floor plans to clarify the code requirements with an emphasis on how to avoid costly mistakes and possible legal action. The seminar will be broken into eight parts: (1) Overview of Accessibility  The ADA, the CBC and Furniture (2) Plumbing Fixtures,Toilet Rooms, Sinks and Lavatories (3) A Building Officials Perspective (4) Medical Facilities  Hospitals and Medical Office Buildings (5) Alteration Projects  Path of Travel (6) Signage and Braille (7) 2016 CBC Code Updates (8) Exterior Areas Parking, Passenger Loading Zones, Detectable Warnings, Ramps.

Door opens at 8:30 am, class begins at 9 am and runs until approximately 2:30 pm.
