Kathy Gips, Director of Training, New England ADA Center
Kathy Gips is director of training at the New England ADA Center a project of the Institute for Human Centered Design. Kathy provides trainings and technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the federal Fair Housing Act and related federal and state laws to architects, designers, businesses, non-profit organizations, public and private schools, people with disabilities, advocates for people with disabilities, and state and local governments. Prior to working at the ADA Center she was director of community services at the Massachusetts Office on Disability where she assisted municipalities in establishing commissions on disability. Kathy was part of the team that developed a statewide Community Access Monitor Project. She has over twenty years’ experience in the field of disability rights.
