ADA Shop Talk Episode 028 – (Part 1 of 2) Special Guest Dave Walls, With The International Code Council

Join us for part 1 with special guest Dave Walls, Executive Director Sustainability Programs at International Code Council (ICC). We discussed Dave’s current position with ICC and his experience with California Housing and Community Development (HCD) and the California Building Code (CBC) Chapter 11A rewrite. We also discuss his the former position as the Executive Director of the California Building Standards Commission (CBSC) where he worked on the nation’s first green code as well as facilitating the first meetings of the California Commission on Disabled Access (CCDA). Dave shares his experience and challenges working with accessibility advocacy and industry groups during the code development process.  Part 2 will be released next week.
