AGRABILITY WORKSHOP FOR 1890 LAND-GRANT INSTITUTIONS TO BE HELD AT UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS AT PINE BLUFF
MAY 18-19, 2015
The National AgrAbility Project and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff will hold an AgrAbility Workshop May 18-19, 2015, on the campus at Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
The aim of this workshop is to enhance the relationships between AgrAbility and the 1890 land-grant institutions. 1890s agricultural staff from all six states surrounding Arkansas (TX, OK, MO, TN, MS, LA) have been invited to attend.
The workshop will give participants an introduction to AgrAbility and will help them discover the resources available to help agricultural workers with disabilities among their constituencies. A panel of farmers with disabilities will be sharing their stories, and representatives from AR Vocational Rehabilitation and from Life Essentials (assistive technology) will be on hand to share their work with AgrAbility and to answer questions. Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak with other 1890 leaders about how their institutions are collaborating with AgrAbility projects.
Inquiries regarding this workshop should be addressed to Kellye Luckett at 870-575-7226 or luckettk@uapb.edu.
