Canine Companions DogFest Walk 'n Roll, the signature national event of Canine Companions for Independence. Join us at New Albany Market Square for a tail-waggin' good time! DogFest features a fully accessible and dog-friendly walk through New Albany, family-friendly activities, and Snoopy himself will be in attendance and available for photo opportunities!

NOTE: Participants must follow the rules of the road. This means that cars have the right-of-way. There will be no police presence beyond Market Square. Additionally, volunteers and/or participants are not authorized to direct traffic.
Grab a leash and be part of Canine Companions DogFest Walk ‘n Roll! It’s a community dog walk that supports the mission of Canine Companions for Independence. Put together a team of friends, family members and coworkers. Then fundraise to earn a cool DogFest prize. If you raise $100, you’ll get a DogFest bandana to sport at DogFest. Then come to DogFest for a tail-waggin’ good time!
Rules for Pooches and Pups at DogFest Walk 'n Roll:
- No female dogs in heat.
- Dogs attending must be social and friendly with other dogs and people.
- Dogs attending must be comfortable in crowds.
- Dogs who display aggressive behavior, as determined by Canine Companions volunteers or staff, will be asked to leave.
- Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations. This means puppies must be over 4 months old and have completed their full set of puppy vaccinations, including rabies.
- All dogs must be kept on a leash, no longer than 6 feet, at all times.
- Dogs must be ready to have a good time, exhibited by lots of tail wagging!
