This 90-minute webinar presentation is for consultants, contractors, inspectors, and public officials who are involved with design, construction, and maintenance of sidewalks, curb ramps, and driveways on the public rights-of-way. It will cover what is required of cities, counties, and highway districts to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Photos will be presented to show best practices and common mistakes in design and construction of curb ramps. A comprehensive approach will be shown to provide not only accessible sidewalks but sidewalks that also provide accessible access to all businesses.
Learning Objectives:
- Why ADA Accessible sidewalks are important
- How to achieve the goals of the Americans with Disabilities Act
Participants have the option of obtaining 1.5 CRCC credits, 3 Optional Foundation ACTCP (ADA Coordinator Training Certification Program) credits, or a Letter of Attendance.
