Erin Nelson
Assistive Technology Strategist
Erin Nelson is a district-wide Assistive Technology Strategist for Edina Public Schools in Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire with an undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Special Education and Cognitive Disabilities, and from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a Masters of Education in Learning Design and Leadership. Erin began her career as a special education teacher, before transitioning into the world of assistive technology, where she has worked in both EC-12 and non-profit settings. She was drawn to AT work because it is the intersection between creative problem solving, technology, and special education. Erin lives in Minneapolis, MN with her partner, Grant, and two sleepy cats.
