According to the Ohio and National Longitudinal Studies, 70% of high school seniors with disabilities say they want to go to college. Yet, a year later, only 30% of these students had taken college classes and only 20% were still enrolled in college. Why is this so? According to Dr. Izzo, these students were not prepared for their transition to college and/or careers. In this webinar Dr. Izzo will present EnvisionIT: Enhancing Transition Through Technology, a 21st century online curriculum aligned with standards and designed for grades 8-12. The curriculum teaches English and language arts, information technology literacy, college & career readiness, and financial literacy. EnvisionIT was designed with accessibility and universal design for learning in mind and is highly customized to meet the needs of students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
