Improve Access to National Parks! Monday, Oct. 19
3:00 pm - 7:00 pm PDT, October 19, 2015   |   Organized by: Abilities Expo and the National Park Service
Improve Access to National Parks! Join Us Monday, Oct. 19. Our Bay Area Abilities Expo ambassadors are very committed to improving the accessibility of local national parks and want you to be a part of this important effort!
On Monday, October 19, please join the National Park Service on their first public forum about access to parks in the San Francisco area. Hours are 3:00 - 7:00 pm. Fifteen parks will be represented and will have informative booths highlighting accessible options, such as hiking trails, camping and beach wheelchairs. A formal lecture will be presented at 3:30 pm and repeated again at 5:30 pm for those who missed it.
This forum is to benefit those who are blind, deaf and/or have a limited mobility (i.e. use a wheelchair). The parks are looking for feedback for improvement and to share what access is currently available.
