Description: FEMAs Emergency Management Institute (EMI) is now offering 2 new opportunities for applicants to take the Integrating Access and Functional Needs into Emergency Planning (E0197) training course in April and August. In addition to state and local government employees, these offerings are an excellent opportunity for non-governmental organizations, private-sector partners, or volunteer agencies.
EMI in Emmitsburg, Maryland is offering the training on the following dates: August 30-31, 2016
Prerequisites: Applicants must complete Independent Study (IS) course IS-230.D: Fundamentals of Emergency Management before attending this course. EMI also recommends participants complete IS-100 and IS-700.a. Participants do not need to complete these requirements prior to submitting their applications, but must complete them prior to attending the L197 course.
Registration: Deadline to Register - July 19, 2016
Complete and submit your FEMA form 119-25-1, General Admissions Application, no later than July 19, 2016. Participants with accommodation requests due to a disability or other access and functional needs should fill out Section 11 of the FF 119-25-1.
