Charlie Croteau
Charlie Croteau broke his neck at the age of 20 as an agricultural engineering student at Montana State University. After his injury, he went on to found the Center for Living and Working in Worcester in order to help make a positive impact for those with physical disabilities. This included job training, personal care, housing, transportation, and transitional programs. He has taught physical and occupational therapies around New England for the past 38 years. Charlie has also spent his time volunteering at the major spinal cord injury centers in and around Boston for the past 35 years. He has written a book on wheelchair mobility and produced teaching videos on living with a spinal cord injury . Charlie has served for 20 years as an Impartial Hearing Officer for the state of Massachusetts. It has been his life's mission to make life better for those with disabilities.
