Sibs 2019 is designed to help siblings of all ages and supporters of sibling issues to connect, listen and learn from each other.
Hear welcome remarks from Maryland State Senator Jeff Waldstreicher and the sibling stories featured in the documentaries, Intelligent Lives, The R Word and the Academy Award-nominated Life, Animated.
Participate in interactive workshops and discussions for siblings and supporters and attend sessions on multicultural challenges, mental health, dating and relationships, parent perspectives, and special sessions just for seniors and fathers & sons.
Sibling and Maryland Senator
Senator Jeff Waldsteicher is a long time advocate for people with disabilities and their families and a sibling himself. He represented District 18 in Montgomery County in the House of Delegates since 2006, and now serves on the Judicial Proceedings Committee in the Maryland Senate.

Emma is a second grade teacher in an inclusive classroom within Boston Public Schools, and the sibling of Micah, featured in the 2018 film, Intelligent Lives.

Amanda is a filmmaker and director from Wilmington, Delaware and the sibling of Gabrielle, featured in her 2019 film, The R Word.
