The Deaf Rights Symposium will address the Americans with Disabilities Act and other similar civil rights laws that are purposefully broad to include protections for a diverse population of people with disabilities. How do these laws apply to d/Deaf specific issues? How can d/Deaf people utilize these laws to their fullest capacity to protect their right to equal opportunity? What should service providers know when it comes to serving d/Deaf individuals?

The Deaf Rights Symposium is proud to offer RID (Registry for Interpreter of the Deaf) CEUs for interpreters, with more information to come. If you are a sign language interpreter and would like to collect CEUs for all sessions you attend, please make sure to indicate that you want RID during the registration portion and include your RID number.
