The University of Alabama at Birmingham ADA Professional Training Certificate Program
This 100% online program is designed to give you, a professional involved with workplace accessibility, training that is convenient and affordable as well as up-to-date and easily applied. ADA coordinators will find this particularly applicable. From the convenience of your location and on your schedule, you can enjoy these powerful courses which feature substantial group interaction, relevant case law and real-life applications. The courses are developed and taught by Lisa Reburn and Graham Sisson. Lisa Reburn, Ph.D. is a Certified ADA Coordinator and educator with over 30 years of experience working with those with disabilities. Graham Sisson, J.D. and Ph.D. candidate is an attorney with over 23 years of experience practicing law in the area of disabilities. He has been serving as the state of Alabama’s ADA Coordinator for the Governors’ office since 1993. All six of the courses required for completion of the certificate program can be accomplished in just six months.

ADA 510A: ROLE OF THE ADA COORDINATOR AND ADA BASICS
This course presents an overview of the strategic role and responsibilities of the ADA Coordinator. Each of the five Titles under the ADA is presented and explored. Case law and real-life scenarios are used throughout the course. Weekly online discussions allow for application of concepts taught as well as for networking with peers and instructors.
