Networking-Presentation
Janet Novinger is the owner of Explorations, a consulting firm that facilitates learning, growth and change in a heart-filled and respectful way. She works with organizations to create work environments in which people can give their best. Janet has presented workshops to more than 200 Northwest businesses on topics including: Creating a Respectful Workplace, Respectful Communication, Dealing with Challenging Behaviors and Words, Stress Management, Living Energetically and Resilient Leadership.
Janet founded and facilitates the BIAWA’s Seattle Wallingford Support Group for people with mild brain injuries; coordinates Seattle’s free, weekly yoga class for people affected by brain injuries; and implemented a group for TBI Entrepreneurs. She teaches classes on Mindful Stress Reduction, success teams, and resilience skills for people who have been affected by a brain injury.
As learning coordinator for the Brain Injury Support Group Network, she facilitates on-line and in-person training for Washington state support group facilitators.
Presentation on Assistive Technology, including smart phones, to assist with executive functioning
Samantha Murphy has supported people with disabilities for ten years in employment and community living settings. Through person centered planning she helped people achieve their personal and professional goals. Sam works for the WA Assistive Technology Act Program (WATAP) developing projects and collaborations with community organizations and state agency to increase access to assistive technology services for people in WA. She has presented on a variety of AT topics across WA state and nationally.
