U.S. Access Board Public Hearings on the ICT Proposed Rule - San Deigo, CA

The U.S. Access Board will hold a hearing in San Diego on March 5 from 9:30 to 11:30 on its proposed rule updating accessibility requirements for information and communication technology (ICT) technology covered by Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act and Section 255 of the Communication Act. The event will provide an opportunity for members of the public to comment on the Board's proposal which was released on February 18. It will be held at the site of the California State University at Northridge (CSUN) Annual International Technology and Persons with Disabilities Conference but will be open to the general public. Hearing attendees do not have to register for the CSUN conference.
Those who wish to testify at either hearing are encouraged to sign-up in advance by contacting Kathy Johnson at johnson@access-board.gov, (202) 272–0041 (voice), or (202) 272–0082 (TTY). Preregistration, however, is not required. For the comfort of all participants, attendees are requested to refrain from using perfume, cologne, and other fragrances.
