Accessible Alterations (A Refresher)

Determining what is required to be accessible when a facility is altered or expanded can be a challenge. This session will review and provide a refresher on how the ADA and ABA Accessibility Standards apply to planned alterations and additions.It will cover what type of work constitutes an “alteration,” how the scope of work determines application, provisions for primary function areas and accessible paths of travel, historic facilities, technical infeasibility and other topics.
