Now that the Revised 508 Standards are final, what are the next steps for your agency? What policies should an agency have in place, revise, or update to best address the new standards? Join us for a lively and informative discussion between two experienced accessibility policymakers as they address this subject.
Listen to Pierce Crowell, current Section 508 Program Manager and former Senior Technical and Procurement Lead at Social Security Administration, and Deborah Kaplan, former 508 Policy Lead at the Office of the CIO, Department of Health and Human Services, as they anticipate how agency policies may need to change and the evaluation processes necessary to bring about those changes. They will share repeatable policy, procedural, and technical resource materials found on Section 508.gov.
The presenters will allow time to respond to questions from attendees. This session will be helpful to people who need to know what their agencies must do to evaluate and update their Section 508 policies to ensure that agency 508 programs, management, content creation, maintenance and procurement are compliant with the Revised 508 Standards.
