Description: Working 2 Walk is a two-day Science & Advocacy Symposium. The success of this symposium year after year is the collaboration between individuals with spinal cord injuries, researchers and advocate to improve the life of individuals with SCI and paralysis.

Sessions & Fees: Early Bird After August 21
2-day Science & Advocacy Symposium - September 27 and 28 $150 $200
1-day Science & Advocacy Symposium - September 27 or 28 $105 $140
Our partner, Kennedy Krieger Institute, will host a "Hope Through Motion" Reception on Monday, September 28, at the KKI Outpatient Center in Baltimore. There is no charge to attend the reception, but you must register in advance; this is a separate registration from the W2W Symposium. Accessible transportation will be provided from the Bethesda North Marriott to KKI.
Discounts and Grants:
Personal Assistants: If you require a personal assistant in order to attend Working 2 Walk, we do not charge him/her a registration fee. However, he/she MUST register to attend. Please enter that person's name and email address in the appropriate field when you register. We will contact your assistant with the required information for a complimentary registration.
Individuals with Paralysis: If you are paralyzed by injury or disease, we offer a 50% registration fee discount. Please send an email to marilynsmith@u2fp.org verifying your condition, and we will send instructions on how to take advantage of the discount.
Students: If you are attending a college or university, we offer students a 50% discount. Please send an email to marilynsmith@u2fp.org verifying your student status (name of school and student ID), and we will respond with information on how to register as a student.
Refunds: We will honor refund requests up to one week prior to the event, minus 10% to cover processing fees. Due to catering commitments, we cannot provide refunds requested after September 18..
Travel Grants: Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, U2FP has a limited pool of funds available to provide assistance with travel expenses. To apply for a travel grant, please complete the application form in its entirety. Travel Grant applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, with first consideration given to those received by August 1, so that we may notify recipients prior to the Early Bird Registration deadline and allow time for flight reservations.
