11B-810.10 Track crossings.

Where a circulation path serving boarding platforms crosses tracks, it shall comply with Section 11B-402.

Exception: Openings for wheel flanges shall be permitted to be 2½ inches (64 mm) maximum.

A cross section of a pair of train rails is shown with walkway surfaces abutting the rails on the outside of the pair. The surface between the rails is at the same level as the outside surfaces, but a horizontal gap 2 ½ inches maximum is shown on the inner edge of each rail to accommodate a train wheel flange.
