4. Passenger Vessels

In June of 2013, the Board released for public comment guidelines for access to ferries, cruise ships, excursion boats, and other passenger vessels under the ADA. Once finalized, these guidelines will supplement the Board’s ADA Accessibility Guidelines for Transportation Vehicles and the ADA Accessibility Guidelines for Buildings and Facilities.  The Department of Justice and the Department of Transportation will use the guidelines to set mandatory standards.
