Accessing Arizona is an eMagazine. Its designed to give people with disabilities a resource for finding out whats going on in Arizona. For people vacationing in Arizona, or traveling through, it’s a great resource for locating wheelchair accessible places to visit. What Accessing Arizona isn’t, is a web site about that focuses on disabilities. The site doesnt advocate, not does it attempt to impose social change or acceptance. It’s simply a place where people with disabilities can obtain information about people, places and things of interest.
The web site was started by Loren Worthington. Loren is a long time Arizonan who became paralyzed in a sports-related accident in 1985. The original site started out as a travel journal. Over time, more and more readers began asking questions and seeking travel suggestions based on his descriptions of the types of wheelchair access each location offered.
Accessing Arizona is a soon-to-be non-profit organization. Support the cause by shopping at Amazon using this link.
