The State of Oklahoma offers a number of resources to it’s residents to help with caregiving, senior housing issues, senior health, and more.

Most prominently, the Oklahoma Department of Human Services houses the state’s Aging Services Division, which acts to provide ‘leadership in issues of concern to older Oklahomans, helps to develop community-based systems which support independence and protect the quality of life of older persons and helps to promote citizen involvement in planning and delivering those services.’

Furthermore, the OKDHS offers specific information about assisted living within the State of Oklahoma, including it’s own definition of what assisted living is (this definition can vary slightly from state-to-state).

On a more local level, the State of Oklahoma has 11 Area Agencies on Aging that covers every inch of the state.
