Most prominently, the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services has an Aging & Disability Services division that provides assistance and programs relevant to aging in Nevada, disability, Senior RX, caregiver help, Aging HIPAA Policy, and Early Intervention Part C.

Additionally, all residents of Nevada have access to the Nevada’s Long Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP) – or, in the case of Nevada, “Ombudsmen” may also be referred to as “Elder Rights Advocates.” An ombudsman acts as an impartial mediator for disputes between assisted living residents and facilities, or may investigate incidents of Elder Abuse. There are a number of other helpful services that the LTCOP makes accessible to Nevada’s long-term care residents.
