The Association for Macular Diseases offers support to individuals with macular disease, their caregivers, and the professional community. The Association provides resources and assistance while promoting research and education.
Founded in 1978, the Association is based at the NSLIJ / Manhattan Eye, Ear & Throat Hospital located at 210 East 64th Street in Manhattan, using space provided by the LuEsther T. Mertz Retinal Research Center and The Macula Foundation, Inc..
This website is a collaboration between the Association for Macular Diseases, the LuEsther T. Mertz Retinal Research Center, and The Macula Foundation. The site features educational resources, such as the encyclopedia and the news page, as well as opportunities for the site’s users to meet each other and share their experiences and knowledge by using the comment feature following each news article.
