Community Resources for Independence (CRI) is a community based, non-residential, non-profit corporation that provides services to individuals with disabilities in order to maximize their independence and the accessibility of the communities in which they live. CRI is one of more than 500 federally funded Centers for Independent Living across the nation established by people with disabilities for people with disabilities.
CRI's professionally trained staff, many of whom have disabilities themselves, provide services, peer support, and referrals to existing community resources.

CRI provides referral services and coordination of existing community resources in seven counties of Northwestern Pennsylvania - Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Mercer, Venango, and Warren.

Through the Department of Public Welfare, the CRI Attendant Care Program provides in-home health care service in additional twenty one counties of Pennsylvania - Beaver, Cameron, Centre, Clearfield, Clinton, Elk, Fulton, Huntingdon, Jefferson, Juniata, Lawrence, Lycoming, McKean, Mifflin, Montour, Northumberland, Potter, Schulkill, Snyder, Somerset, Sullivan, Tioga, and Union.
