National Research and Training Center (NRTC) on Blindness and Low Vision Continuing Education Courses
These courses are designed for professionals who are working in or with the field of rehabilitation of persons who are blind or visually impaired, although anyone is welcome to take them. Most are set up with a PowerPoint slide and lecture which can be viewed together, as a video file, or separately, as a PowerPoint and audio file. There is also a transcript of each audio file.
In order to receive continuing education credit, either Certified Rehabilitation Counselor or Continuing Education Units, the student must complete a full course, pass the quiz with a score of at least 80%, and complete a course evaluation. Quizzes may be retaken until the passing score is earned. There is no fee for CRC credit. For more information on CEU credits, including costs and bundling, contact Angela Shelton at ashelton@colled.msstate.edu. When a quiz is successfully completed, a CRC Certificate will be sent, which also serves as a certificate of completion. For those who do not want continuing education credit, there is no need to take the quizzes. Contact Doug Bedsaul at dbedsaul@colled.msstate.edu or 662-325-8243 for more information on these courses.
