Rebuilding Together® Indianapolis culminates in a one-day work blitz on the last Saturday in April known as Game Day. With the help of sponsorships and grants, Rebuilding Together® Indianapolis also works with different groups and companies to complete projects throughout the year in addition to our annual Game Day.
All repairs are free. Our work is done with families, not for them. Homeowners and family members are asked to participate as extensively as possible in the rehabilitation of their house.
Rebuilding Together Indianapolis is a local affiliate of Rebuilding Together, a national organization that includes 166 affiliates serving 500 communities nationwide. Rebuilding Together’s national headquarters was launched in 1988 with a commitment to spread the program to every state.
Our Mission
Rebuilding Together® preserves and revitalizes houses and communities, assuring that low-income homeowners, particularly the elderly and disabled and families with children, may continue to live in warmth, safety and independence.
Our goal is to make a sustainable impactin partnership with the community.
Who We Help
Rebuilding Together ® Indianapolis provides free assistance to people who own their own home but who, because of physical limitation or low income, are struggling to cover the costs of home repair.
The total number of people living in low-income working families now stands at 47.5 million, including 23.5 million children. This total could reach 50 million in a few years. This growth means that more and more families are placed in the position of choosing between vital necessities, such as food and medicine, or a roof that does not leak.
