Founded in 1988, Rebuilding Together is the largest volunteer home rehabilitation organization in America. Through 2004, almost 2.3 million volunteers worked 24 million hours to rehabilitate 87,450 houses and non-profit facilities. In 2007, the national organization rehabbed its 100,000th home.
Rebuilding Together Mohawk Valley mobilizes teams of volunteers to revitalize neighborhoods by repairing homes and renovating nonprofit facilities and schools.
Our Mission
The number of low-income homeowners increases each year and is expected to grow to an astonishing 28.5 million by 2010. More and more families must choose between vital necessities such as food or medicine or a roof that does not leak. Rebuilding Together works to ensure that as many families as possible do not have to make these difficult choices.
