The Westside Center for Independent Living (WCIL) is dedicated to assisting low income persons with disabilities and seniors to achieve and maintain self-directed and community based independent lives. This is accomplished in a non-residential environment with support services and training programs provided by their peers.
Independent Living promotes self-determination, community living, full participation in community life and access to the same opportunities and resources available to people without disabilities.
WCIL’s consumers are a diverse group of people of all ages and from all ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. We work together with persons living with any type of disability, including but not limited to: developmental, hearing, learning, mobility impaired, physical, psychiatric, substance abuse, traumatic brain injury and visual disabilities.
We serve the communities of: Baldwin Hills, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Century City, Cheviot Hills, Culver City, El Segundo, Fox Hills, Harbor City, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Inglewood, Ladera Heights, Lawndale, Lomita, Manhattan Beach, Mar Vista, Palms, Palos Verdes, Playa del Rey, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, San Pedro, Torrance, Westchester, West Hollywood, West Los Angeles and Westwood.
