Architect - Accessibility Specialist - CASp - LCM Architects

Job Description

LCM Architects is planning to expand our Accessibility Consulting Group to create a stronger presence in the Los Angeles, CA area. We are seeking a licensed Architect who is also a Certified Access Specialist (CASp) to join our talented and energetic team. The successful candidate must exhibit a strong working knowledge with the accessibility requirements of the 2016 CBC as well as all related accessibility standards including the ADA, FHA, ANSI A117.1 and UFAS.

The position involves conducting on-site inspections of existing facilities using checklists to identify and record observed deficiencies. Final reports will then be generated documenting those deficiencies, referencing the applicable accessibility standard, and suggested barrier removal corrective actions. In addition, the candidate will be involved with peer accessibility plan reviews for new multifamily projects during the design phase, and construction observation reviews throughout construction. CASp certification may be required at the completion of a project.
