William Meyer uses technology to work on his family’s Palmer, NE farm and live independently. Months after receiving an Associate’s Degree in Agriculture Business and Management Technology, a roll-over automobile accident caused paralysis from the waist down. Known for his positive attitude and work ethic, he was already thinking about returning to the work he loves while he was recovering at Madonna Rehabilitation Hospital. Nebraska VR Employment Specialist JD Simmons, Nebraska AgrAbility’s Rural Rehabilitation Specialist Rod Petersen, and Nebraska ATP’s Technology Specialist Roxanne Rowley worked together to identify the assistive technology to help William succeed.
