Why a smooth surface door or kickplate is important

This video shows what can happen if the push side of a door near the floor isn't smooth.  Remember that the latch that hits the push rim is nicking the surface your fingers have to grasp thousands of times a day for years.

And those nicks slice your fingers like butter when you least expect it.

Another example you might add would be a glass door without a kick plate and glass that is recessed on all (4) sides surrounded by a metal frame. Your foot rest grinds across the glass then "catches" on the metal frame.

I look forward to seeing those examples from our Corada Voices users. It's easy to upload images with your comments, Design solutions, or any other Voices posts. We expect to have a thumbnail viewer in the Voices comments soon that will allow you to preview user uploaded images without downloading the entire file.
