ADA-Compliant Showers for Universal Design
With QuARTz, it isn’t always about design and beauty; function is also a key decision factor. This makes QuARTz by ACO ideal when considering Universal Design. QuARTz drains are ADA-compliant, and allow level thresholds for effortless wheelchair access. By using the drains in the threshold area, it keeps the wet zone from encroaching on the dry zone without any reduction in wheelchair access for the impaired.
Water activated LED lights can also provide a visual guide to the transition from wet to dry zones.
With seven different grate designs, and two material finishes, there is a design and finish to fit all styles and tastes. Drains are available in 28”, 32”, 36”, 40”, 48” and 55” lengths.
