HEWI System Lignum Protect Handrails

The wooden handrail system lignum protect has integrated collision protection. A strip of extremely hard-wearing material is incorporated in the wood. This protects the handrail against damage caused by impact. The protective profile is optionally available made of HPL (High Pressure Laminate) or stainless steel. Both materials are extremely robust. They withstand maximum use and exposure, and are dimensionally stable. The wood surface is sealed with varnish that is resistant to cleaning products and disinfectants and is therefore also extremely robust.

The handrail system lignum protect offers a high degree of protection against damage caused by impact and at the same time has a homely appearance.  System lignum protect is available in three different types of wood – beech, European maple and oak. A large selection of supports and end pieces can be combined to enable made to measure solutions.
