Product Description
A sleek contemporary option to experience the seamless blending of your indoor and outdoor environments.
Features
The TS.87 system is custom made to order with a large variety of options available.
-
System Overview: With thermally broken extrusion and the slimmest line of all our offerings, the TS.87 is perfect for contemporary architecture and chic designs for the most modern of homes and properties. The stile width is 40% smaller than the typical Lift and Slide door, thus making this the premier option for sleek architectural designs where a contemporary appeal is desired. This model features an extra-low U-value, adding greater performance and weather protection to its genuine elegance.
-
Maximum Panel Height: Up to 14 feet or up to 20 feet with a true divider.
-
Maximum Panel Width: Up to 10 feet.
-
Panel Weight: Approximately 7 to 8 lbs/sqft depending on overall panel size.
-
Number of Panels: Countless panel groups can be built.
-
Profiles: Specially designed profiles are used in this system to provide maximum durability while providing a subtle visual divide. The Lift and Slide door profiles are made using high tensile 6063-T5 aluminum extrusions for superior strength. The stile sizes are as follows: Slim/narrow 3 1/4” by 2” aluminum stile.
-
System Configurations Available: Almost any size and shape of opening can be accommodated. Systems can pocket to left or right, and can stack to left and/or right. 45 and 90 degree configurations are available. Smaller sized panels to be used in window or pass-through configurations are also available.
-
Glazing: Clear Low-E tempered 1 3/8″ insulated is the standard. A minimum of 1/4″ single pane glass to a maximum 1 1/2″ hurricane rated insulated glass may be used. Optional integrated blinds are available for 1 1/2″ insulated glass. Other options including frosted or tinted glass, argon or krypton fill, and SDLs or TDLs may also be integrated for a more custom look.
-
Weather-stripping: The entire Lift & Slide door system has specially designed EPDM V-type gaskets and dense felt brushes to create a totally closed weather sealed system.
Bottom Track Options
All weight is carried on the bottom track, the top track serves as a guide.
Trench Depth: Min. 2 1/2″
-
ADA Compliant Standard Track. Recessed into sub-floor to ensure the smoothest possible operation. The finished floor is laid in between tracks leaving only a 3/16″ rail exposed. A virtually unobstructed threshold from the interior to the exterior area for a “barefoot” friendly passage.
-
ADA Compliant Track with drainage. In addition to the above features, this track has a weep channel for increased security against water infiltration. Panda holds a patent for the drainage technology used in this track.
Trench Depth: Min. 1 1/4″
-
ADA Compliant 1 1/4″ in track. Recessed into sub-floor to ensure the smoothest possible operation, this track features a shallower recess than the two tracks mentioned above and is leveled with stack shims instead of all-threads. The finished floor is laid in between tracks leaving only a 3/16″ rail exposed. A virtually unobstructed threshold from the interior to the exterior area for a “barefoot” friendly passage.
-
ADA Compliant 1 1/4″ in track with drainage. In addition to the features mentioned for the previous track, this one has a weep channel for increased security against water infiltration. Panda holds a patent for the drainage technology used in this track.
Trench Depth: Mounts on floor
-
ADA Compliant Surface Track. It is used in situations where recessing is not possible. This low 3/16″ track mounts directly to the finished floor. For best operation, floor must be smooth and level.
Header Track
-
The header track features adjustable shims from 1/2 ″ depending on type of bottom track and type of sill finish.
-
The header track widths approximately 2 1/2″ per track. Trench width and type of bottom track should be taken into account when planning rough header construction.
